A. Bhimsingh directed in Tamil and Hindi for thirty years and had a habit of titling his Tamil films with the letter P - Pasamalar, Pava Mannippu, Paalum Pazhamum - which the industry found funny and he did not change.

In Hindi he made Aadmi Aur Insaan, Gehri Chaal, Mehrban and Sadhu Aur Shaitaan, mostly family melodramas with a moral in them. He was an editor first, which shows in how tightly the Tamil films are cut.
