Aloke Dasgupta

Aloke Dasgupta is credited as the cinematographer of Mehbooba (1976) and The Great Gambler (1979) - the first by Wikidata, the second by indiancine.ma, independently of each other.

Wikidata's entity of this name records a sitarist born in 1953, which would make him twenty-three when the first of those films was shot, and gives him no occupation behind a camera. Either that entity is a different man of the same name or its details are wrong, so no dates are published here. What is recorded is what two sources agree on: the camera, on those films.
