Anu Malik

1960–

Anu Malik has composed for Hindi films since the 1970s and did so at a volume that made him both the decade's most-used composer and its most-accused - the charge of lifting melodies followed him for years.

Baazigar, Main Hoon Na, Refugee, which won him the National Award, and Border. He is the son of the composer Sardar Malik and later became a television talent-show judge, which is how a younger audience knows him.
