Anwar Batalvi

Writer; wrote the story of Anmol Ghadi (1946)

Anwar Batalvi wrote the story of Anmol Ghadi, which Agha Jani Kashmiri turned into a screenplay. The encyclopaedia article and the specialist film archive both credit him and neither carries a date, a birthplace or a second film. That is the whole of what is recorded about the man who invented this plot, and this page says so rather than inventing the rest. His name suggests Batala, in Punjab, and nothing consulted confirms it.
