Aruna Irani

1946–

Aruna Irani started as a child actor and worked for sixty years, mostly in the parts between the leads - the friend, the vamp, the dancer, and later the mother. She has around five hundred films and has said she never turned one down.

Caravan gave her the dance number everyone knows. She won Filmfare's supporting award twice, and moved into television production in the 1990s, where she had a second career nobody expected.
