Bindu

1951–

Bindu played the vamp through the 1970s - the cabaret, the cigarette, the other woman - and did it with more comic timing than the parts usually asked for. Mona Darling in Zanjeer is the one everybody can name.

She had come to films young after her father's business failed, and she worked in around a hundred and sixty of them. Her later career turned to comedy and to mothers, which she said she preferred.
