Charles Craig

American radio broadcaster (born 1932)

Charles "Chuck" Perry Craig was a radio broadcaster, and the voice that tells the audience what is happening outside the farmhouse: he plays the newscaster on the television bulletins, and Image Ten's own cast record says he took four parts in all, one of them a ghoul.

He was born on 27 May 1932 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and spent his career in radio - WWST Wooster, WHBC Canton, WJW Cleveland, WCKY Cincinnati, WNCO Ashland and WTAE Pittsburgh. He reached the film through Karl Hardman: in January 1966 Hardman and Marilyn Eastman co-produced a morning show on WRYT called "The Tea House with Jason Flake", and Jason Flake was Craig's on-air name. He was already working for Hardman Associates two years before the cameras turned, which is how most of this cast was found. In 1984 he took a post in Wooster, Ohio as a veterans' service officer and went on to chair the Wayne County Veterans Service Commission. Obituaries were published in July 2021.

This credit previously carried the Wikidata entity for a different Charles Craig, an American actor of 1877-1972 who appeared in 120 silent films between 1909 and 1931.
