Hari Shivdasani acted in Hindi films from the 1930s to the 1980s, generally as the elderly gentleman, the uncle or the official.

He was the uncle of the actress Babita and so the great-uncle of Karisma and Kareena Kapoor, which connects him to the Kapoor family that runs through a great deal of this catalogue.
