He plays Rajendra, the social worker Bina loves and whom her brother tries to keep her from - the third point of the film's triangle. He is billed on the title card simply as HARISH, with no surname, and nothing consulted carries dates or another film under that name alone. The gap is the record. He is named in filmindia's trade credit block for the film in August 1941 - 'Cast: Sheikh Mukhtar, Nalini Jaywant, Harish, Kanhyalal etc.' - so the credit is confirmed by the contemporary press as well as by the print. It still carries no first name. He is also Bansi in Mehboob Khan's Aurat (1940), the year before - so two films, both for the same director, which together are the whole of what is recorded about him.
