Jaikishan had a tune turned down for another film and played it to Shammi Kapoor at Hotel Gaylord. Kapoor thought it too good to lose and told Bhappi Sonie to put it in Brahmachari, where it became Aajkal Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche.
