Kalyanji
1928–2000
Kalyanji Virji Shah was the elder half of Kalyanji-Anandji and one of the first people in India to use an electronic instrument in film music - the clavioline, on Nagin in 1954, which produced the been sound everybody knows.
With his brother Anandji he scored around two hundred and fifty films, including Zanjeer, Don and Muqaddar Ka Sikandar - three of the defining Bachchan films of the decade.
