Lilliput

Actor and writer whose screen name comes from Gulliver's Travels · 1950–

Lilliput took his screen name from Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, where Lilliput and Blefuscu are the two island nations: a literary joke at his own expense. He was born in Gaya, Bihar, on 3 October 1950. Saagar (1985), in which he plays Cheena, was his film debut. He is best known as a writer for Doordarshan's popular science-fiction series Indradhanush, and in his seventies he found a new generation of fans as Dadda Tyagi in Mirzapur from season two and in the Tamil film Beast.
