Madhuri Dixit
1967–
Madhuri Dixit was the biggest star in Hindi cinema for most of the 1990s and got there by dancing - Ek Do Teen in Tezaab, then Dhak Dhak, then Choli Ke Peechhe, each one an event in its own right.
Tezaab, Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Dil To Pagal Hai, Devdas. Hum Aapke Hain Koun was for years the highest-grossing Indian film ever made. She trained in kathak, which is why the dancing holds up when the films around it do not.
