N. C. Sippy

1926–2001

N. C. Sippy produced the films Hrishikesh Mukherjee directed - Anand, Chupke Chupke, Bawarchi, Namak Haraam, Abhimaan - which is to say he paid for the gentlest and most durable run in Hindi cinema while the industry around him made epics.

He is no relation to the Sippys of Sholay. He worked with Mukherjee for about two decades.
