Praveen Kumar Sobti

1947–2022

Praveen Kumar was a hammer and discus thrower who won two Asian Games golds and competed at two Olympics before films took him for his size. He played henchmen and strongmen for two decades.

He is Bheem in B. R. Chopra's Mahabharat, which is how most of India knows him, and he stood for parliament in Delhi in 2013.
