Premnath
1926–1992
Premnath was a leading man in the late 1940s and 1950s - Aag, Barsaat, Aurat - before reinventing himself in middle age as a very large, very loud character actor in Teesri Manzil, Bobby, Johny Mera Naam and Dharmatma.
He was Raj Kapoor's brother-in-law and Rajendra Nath's brother. He spent some years away from films in religious study, which he spoke about openly.
