Pyarelal
1940–
Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma learned the violin from his father and was playing in film orchestras as a boy. With Laxmikant he formed the longest-running composing partnership in Hindi cinema.
Amar Akbar Anthony is one of their densest scores - seven songs across three religions in a single film. The violinist Anthony Gonsalves, who taught Pyarelal as a boy, is the man Bachchan's character is named after.
