Rehana Sultan
1950–
Rehana Sultan came out of the Film and Television Institute's first acting batch and was handed two films that the censors fought over - Dastak and Chetna - and then found the industry had typed her as the actress who takes her clothes off.
Dastak won her the National Award for best actress in 1970. It is a film about a couple who move into a flat in a red-light district and are mistaken for what the previous tenant was. She married B. R. Ishara, who directed Chetna.
