S. Raamanathan

1929–2013

S. Raamanathan directed in Tamil and Hindi from the 1960s and made Geraftaar (1985), which put Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in one film - a combination the industry has not repeated.

Most of his work is in Tamil, where he also produced. He is not S. Ramanathan the Carnatic musician, a separate figure whose Wikidata entity is frequently attached to these films by mistake.
