Sadashiv Amrapurkar
1950–2014
Sadashiv Amrapurkar came out of Marathi theatre and arrived on Hindi screens fully formed in Ardh Satya, as a local politician so convincingly vicious that it fixed his career.
Ardh Satya, Hukumat, Farishtay, Sadak, Ishq. Sadak won him the Filmfare award for best villain and is still the performance people name. He spent his later years in social and environmental campaigning.
