Yogesh
1943–2020
Yogesh Gaur came to Bombay at sixteen hoping to write and spent years on the edges of the industry before Salil Chowdhury gave him Anand. *Kahin Door Jab Din Dhal Jaaye* and *Zindagi Kaisi Hai Paheli* are his.
He wrote around three hundred songs, mostly for Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee's kind of film - unshowy, domestic, in plain Hindi. Rimjhim Gire Sawan, from Manzil, is the other one everybody knows.
