Description
988 FM is Malaysia's leading Chinese-language music station, broadcasting in Mandarin and Cantonese on a contemporary hit radio format. It is run from Petaling Jaya by Star Media Radio Group and covers Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore on a range of frequencies. It started in 1996 as a trilingual service before becoming fully Chinese-language in December 1997, and now takes around 42 percent of the Malaysian Chinese radio audience with about 2.17 million weekly listeners.
