إذاعة الشمس describes itself on its own من نحن page as the radio station of the Arab minority in the country, broadcasting on 98.1 FM and 101 FM under a franchise from السلطة الثانية للراديو والتلفزيون since July 2003, under the slogan "إذاعة حرة إذاعة عصرية". It runs a 24-hour live service from Nazareth built on news bulletins, talk programmes, cultural, sport and field coverage, with a news department it says produces 18 bulletins and four news programmes a day. Its own site publishes a dated daily schedule, 28 named programmes with airtimes, full episodes on demand, and a trilingual front in Arabic, Hebrew and English. It states its signal covers the Galilee, the coastal plain and the Triangle as far as Jerusalem, reaches parts of the West Bank, and is heard in some Jordanian cities including Amman and Irbid.
