Description
Antena Radio went on air from Jelah in December 1998 as the first private station in the Tešanj municipality, and it still runs as a commercial local broadcaster on 88.7 MHz. Its own description of itself is a modern station with the emphasis on narodna folk music and local information, and that is exactly how it sounds: Bosnian and wider Balkan folk and pop records wrapped around live presenter shows such as Jahoton, Srijedom s Ninom and the morning Dobar dan jutro. Between the music it does the work a local station exists for, covering Tešanj and the surrounding Zenica-Doboj area with news, job listings, weather and reporting on local business, culture and sport. Its coverage of the catastrophic 2014 floods won a Bosnian journalists' association award, and the online stream keeps it within reach of listeners in the diaspora.
