Description
Radio Bio-Bio, which publishes online as BioBioChile, is one of the most listened-to broadcasters in Chile, founded in Concepcion in 1966 and still headquartered there. The output is news, current affairs, sport and opinion rather than a music format, carried by a national chain of stations reaching from Arica in the north to Punta Arenas in the south. It insists on its independence from parties, churches and corporate owners, and its website has grown into one of Chile's largest news portals, with a video channel and an investigative desk of its own.
