Description
Caraibes FM is the radio arm of Radio Télévision Caraïbes, a Port-au-Prince broadcaster founded in 1949 by the Brown family and one of the oldest names in Haitian media. It is built around news and talk rather than music, with political, economic and cultural coverage through the day and programmes such as Matin Caraibes, Caraibes Culture Plus and Cafe Philo. Its talk show Ranmase is the best known on the island and is picked up by stations from Miami to Montreal and Paris. For Haitians abroad the station works as a direct line back to what is happening at home.
