Description
DBS Radio is Dominica's national broadcaster, on air from Roseau since November 1971 and known across the island as "The Nation's Station". It is owned by the Government of Dominica and the schedule is built on news, current affairs and sport rather than a playlist, with music filling the spaces between. Cultural strands have long been part of the output, including the Dominican Creole programme Experience Kwéyòl and the history series The Dominica Story. The 88.1 FM signal and its island relays carry well past Dominica and are picked up around the wider Eastern Caribbean.
