Description
Deutschlandfunk, usually shortened to DLF, is Germany's national public news and current affairs station, operated by Deutschlandradio from its base in Cologne. The schedule is built on news bulletins every half hour through the weekday and long-form information magazines, among them "Informationen am Morgen" and "Informationen am Mittag". Evenings and weekends make room for analysis and cultural discussion, such as the Sunday "Essay und Diskurs". It is a speech station, not a music service.
