Description
DYHP is the pioneer AM station in Cebu, on air since September 1963 and now the Cebu City outlet of the Radio Mindanao Network. It runs news, public affairs, talk and radio drama around the clock for Cebu City and Central Visayas, so there is very little music in the schedule. The station keeps its own Cebuano drama production centre, which supplies serials to other stations across the Visayas and Mindanao. It has traded under several names over the decades, including Ang Radyo Natin and Radyo Agong, and moved from 670 kHz to 612 kHz in 1978.

Worth knowing
Its best-known presenter is a practising lawyer, and the morning show is built around that: four hours daily of legal analysis and public-interest commentary rather than news read straight.

What we corrected

Each of these changed a field in our own entry. The reasoning is the researcher's own, recorded when the change was made.

FieldChange Why
language code ceb
what it said before was not recorded; the reasoning usually states it
Cebuano, not Tagalog; `tl` was a stand-in chosen when it looked like no code existed

Stored value was http. Fetched and confirmed 200 on its own domain with no redirect, and Wikipedia lists this domain as the official site
language code

tl
what it said before was not recorded; the reasoning usually states it
Language code was empty. Station broadcasts in Cebuano and Filipino. Cebuano has no two-letter ISO 639-1 code, so Filipino/Tagalog is the closest valid two-letter value

If you think something here is wrong

Tell us which fact and what you found instead. Everything above names its source and its date, so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than argued. Where another site disagrees with us, it is usually because it is repeating a radio directory, and occasionally because we got it wrong. We would like to know which.

Read from the station's own material; this page is generated from the catalogue as it stands now, so it changes when the research does. Research current as at 2026.
