How we checked Hot 97.1 FM SVG
Everything published about this station was read from the station's own website or its own stream, and every fact below names the page it came from and the year it was read. We changed 1 thing about this entry. We also found 4 things we could have published and decided not to.

Description
Hot 97.1 calls itself the Generation Now Station, and at the moment that tagline is very nearly all it is telling the world. Its website has been handed over to a holding page announcing that a new site is on the way, with a sign up box and a single line inviting you to listen live in the meantime. The stream behind that line is healthy and running at a full 320 kbps, so the station is plainly on air even while the site waits. Behind the holding page sits an older install that has not been touched since 2023, and what survives there is the untouched demo content its radio theme shipped with rather than anything about this station. Until the promised new site lands there is no schedule, no presenter list and no station history to read.

Contact route
A WhatsApp click-to-chat link on the station's own St Vincent number sitting in the social bar at the top of every interior page, beside the station's own Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, all three on the same hot97svg handle; a "Contacts" widget in the footer giving that telephone as a tel: link and a station mailbox as a mailto; and a working "Send a message" form on the Contact page taking first name, last name, email, message and a privacy checkbox, posting to the page's own send-email endpoint with a nonce. Worth flagging how nearly this one reads as a machine and is not: the homepage serves only a SeedProd coming-soon splash saying "Our new website is on the way", whose sole interactive element is a "Notify Me" mailing-list capture headed "Yes I want to receive information for Team 97" that takes an address and offers no message field, and it carries no mailto, no tel:, no WhatsApp link and no social icons at all. The real site sits behind it and answers on direct URLs. I found the page through the open WordPress pages endpoint, whose stored body for it is nothing but unrendered shortcodes, then opened the page itself, which renders the live header, footer and form that the stored body does not show.

What we corrected
Each of these changed a field in our own entry. The reasoning is the researcher's own, recorded when the change was made.
| Field | Change | Why |
|---|---|---|
| language code |
en
what it said before was not recorded; the
reasoning usually states it
|
No language code set. English language station in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, confirmed as English on its directory listing and by its own English language site and presenter names. |
What we found and did not publish
Material that would have made this page fuller, and was refused. A page with five named presenters looks better than a page with none even when the five are a website theme's demonstration content, and the difference is invisible to a reader. So it is recorded here instead.
| What we could have said | Why we did not |
|---|---|
| A roster of shows, DJs, an events calendar and a podcast archive | the site's page list is the OnAir2 WordPress theme's demo import, and its front page is literally titled "OnAir2 Home". The articles are the theme's sample posts dated May 2016, with titles like "The 5 Elements Needed For Music Industry Success", "The Subways Tour Diary: Days 6-10" and "4 Questions About The Music Industry You Should NOT Be Asking". None of it is this station's own content, and its one bespoke page, 97online, reads only "Coming Soon". The single post dated 2021 is the renamed WordPress hello-world default.

| Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as a confirmed origin | the words Vincent, Kingstown and Grenadines appear nowhere on the site. The 118 matches for "svg" in the page source are every one of them .svg image references and inline SVG markup, not the country abbreviation. I left the stored country untouched rather than confirm it from the spelling of a domain name.
source |
| https for the homepage | the domain does answer on port 443, but it presents a self-signed certificate issued to itself which expired in July 2025, so https fails validation. Only http loads, which is what the stored value already says.
source |
| The telephone, email address and street address printed in the "Contact us" tab beside the form on that same page | they are untouched OnAir2 theme demo placeholders, a UK-format number, an address at the literal domain "mydomainname.not" and a fictional Californian avenue, so publishing them would publish the theme vendor's dummy data as the station's route; also the station's real number and mailbox, publishable by type only, and the twenty-odd other theme demo pages the REST API lists, including a "Coming Soon" page and demo articles about the music industry.

If you think something here is wrong
Tell us which fact and what you found instead. Everything above names its source and its date, so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than argued. Where another site disagrees with us, it is usually because it is repeating a radio directory, and occasionally because we got it wrong. We would like to know which.
Read from the station's own material; this page is generated from the
catalogue as it stands now, so it changes when the research does. Research
current as at 2026.
