Description
Jurnal FM broadcasts from Chisinau on 100.1 MHz and describes its own format as informative and musical, which in practice means news and talk threaded through a music schedule. It began in 2009 as an internet station, taking over from the older Radio Sanatatea, and moved onto FM on 25 December 2010, reaching Chisinau and other Moldovan cities. The music runs roughly half Moldovan and half Romanian, and the schedule is built around the Pop-Corn Show on weekday mornings and Lampa Fermecata through the afternoon, with a Plus/Minus discussion slot presented by Iana and Sergiu. The station belongs to the Jurnal Trust Media group, which also owns Jurnal TV and the jurnal.md news site, and it briefly went off air in early 2017 after a forced move of its headquarters.
