Description
KNR is Greenland's national public broadcaster, known in Greenlandic as Kalaallit Nunaata Radioa and in English as the Greenlandic Broadcasting Corporation. Radio came first, in 1958, with television following in 1982, and the whole operation runs out of a single building in the capital, Nuuk. The live radio service carries news, current affairs, social and youth programming, cultural features and music, and it is one of the few places anywhere that broadcasts substantially in Kalaallisut. Output is bilingual, moving between Greenlandic and Danish, and it can be picked up across the country on FM as well as online.

Greenlandic has the two-letter ISO 639-1 code kl. GL is correct. knr.gl returns 403 to our fetcher, which is a refusal rather than a dead site, so the stored homepage is left alone. |
