Description
KRISTALfm is Brunei's private commercial radio station, run by Kristal Media from Bandar Seri Begawan and on the air since 1999. It broadcasts from dawn until midnight every day of the year and switches freely between English and Bahasa Melayu, sometimes within the same show. The music is mainstream pop and rock with plenty of Malay and wider regional material, plus specialist evening slots for K-pop, urban, acoustic, jazz and rock. A sister service, Al-QURANfm, carries Quranic recitation.

The station's own radio-shows page says it switches seamlessly between English and Bahasa Melayu, so it is bilingual; Malay is Brunei's national language and the larger share of the schedule, so ms is the right single code. Several shows are English-language, worth noting if a second code is ever supported. |
What we found and did not publish
Material that would have made this page fuller, and was refused. A page with five named presenters looks better than a page with none even when the five are a website theme's demonstration content, and the difference is invisible to a reader. So it is recorded here instead.
