How we checked Lao National Radio 94.3

Description
FM 94.3 is one of five live services Lao National Radio streams from Vientiane, listed on the broadcaster's own player next to 103.7, 97.3, 95 and its AM and shortwave outlets. Lao National Radio has been the country's state broadcaster since 13 August 1960, and its output runs from news bulletins through current affairs to culture, travel and music. The 94.3 stream carries that same public service, but unlike 103.7 it has no separate programme grid published online, so its running order is announced on air rather than on the website. Output is in Lao, with the network also broadcasting news in Hmong, Khmu, Khmer, Vietnamese, Chinese, French and English. If you want the service with the published schedule, 103.7 is the one; 94.3 is the same broadcaster on a second Vientiane frequency.

Contact route
the same broadcaster contact page as its 103.7 sibling, shared and not per-service: three departmental telephone lines (internet and magazine, office and marketing, and news), a fax, two station mailboxes, a postal box with street, and a working contact form; the site names no separate route for 94.3

What we corrected
Each of these changed a field in our own entry. The reasoning is the researcher's own, recorded when the change was made.

Same broadcaster and same site, lnr.org.la, which is in Lao throughout; FM 94.3 MHz is listed on Lao National Radio's own on-air player as one of its five live services alongside 103.7, 97.3, 95 and AM/shortwave. |
What we found and did not publish
Material that would have made this page fuller, and was refused. A page with five named presenters looks better than a page with none even when the five are a website theme's demonstration content, and the difference is invisible to a reader. So it is recorded here instead.
| What we could have said | Why we did not |
|---|---|
| the three departmental numbers, the fax, both mailboxes and the postal address | as for 103.7, the page publishes the lot and the route is the broadcaster's
source |
| any distinction between this service and 103.7 | there is none to report: the menu lists FM 94.3Mhz as a programme-schedule page on the same site and every contact route the site publishes is the broadcaster's
source |
If you think something here is wrong
Tell us which fact and what you found instead. Everything above names its source and its date, so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than argued. Where another site disagrees with us, it is usually because it is repeating a radio directory, and occasionally because we got it wrong. We would like to know which.
Read from the station's own material; this page is generated from the
catalogue as it stands now, so it changes when the research does. Research
current as at 2026.
