Description
LDP Radio is a house and dance station out of the south east of England, and the letters stand for Lockdown Pressure, the Facebook group of friends who started streaming live sets every Saturday in 2020. The following grew fast enough that they launched a station proper in January 2021, and it has been growing since. Weekends are the heart of it, when the resident DJs take the decks live; the rest of the week an automated feed keeps house, dance and the classics coming, stitched together with station jingles. Between the tracks you hear the station talking to its own neighbourhood, with spots for a brickwork firm, a scouting academy, a security company and a local IT outfit. The same crew runs club nights under the UNLOCKED banner and a DJ school, so the station doubles as a way in for people who want to learn to mix.
