Description
This is the Pakistani 107.4 network that now brands itself MERA FM and calls itself "Pakistan's Leading Radio Station" and "MERA FM - Hit Music Station 107.4". Its own About page says it has "Pakistan's most technologically advanced radio network" and offers "exciting music and unique mix of programs hosted by Pakistan' most cherished RJs". The player on its own site offers six city feeds: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar and Bhawalpur, spelled as the site spells them. The samaafm.com domain no longer belongs to a radio station: it now serves a NameBright "samaafm.com is coming soon" parking page.

|
Artists
The station publishes no playlist, song history or now-playing track on its site. Its show copy describes genres (hard style beats, mixes, remixes and mash-ups on Out of Control; light and bright songs on The Mid Day Show) and names no artists.

Contact route
A landline number printed in the header of every page of the station's site, an advertising enquiry form with separate radio and digital campaign paths, a media partnership form, a careers page, and five social accounts the station links itself (Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud). No email address is published, there is no listener contact page as such, and no request line or WhatsApp number is published. The page titled "Get In Touch" is a show, not a contact route.

Hit music with RJ-hosted talk. The station's own tagline is "Hit Music Station 107.4".

Language
Urdu on air, with English in the station's published material. The show copy mixes the two in the station's own voice, as in "Khainch Kay Ya Ahista, It's All Up to You!" and "Join Karou RJ Imran Hassan ke sath Get in Touch!". The stored code ur is right and I have not changed it.

|
Kind
Live RJ-hosted output across a full weekday clock, with city-specific editions: Talk of the Town runs as two separate shows in the same slot, one for Karachi and one for Lahore, which only makes sense with live local presentation rather than a single automated feed.

Worth knowing
The evidence tying this entry to MERA FM comes from the station's own page rather than from any directory or encyclopedia: the audio elements embedded in merafm.com's own player point at samaakhi107-itelservices.radioca.st and samaaisb107-itelservices.radioca.st, the station's own stream hosts, still named samaa plus the city code plus 107. Same frequency, same cities, same streams, new brand.

What we corrected
Each of these changed a field in our own entry. The reasoning is the researcher's own, recorded when the change was made.
| Field | Change | Why |
|---|---|---|
| homepage url |
https://www.merafm.com/
what it said before was not recorded; the
reasoning usually states it
|
No homepage was stored. The station publishes its own site at https://www.merafm.com/, carrying the six city players, an About page, a full RJs and Shows page with named presenters and airtimes at https://www.merafm.com/rjs-and-shows/, advertising and media-partnership enquiry forms, and a switchboard number in the header of every page. The station's own streams are embedded on that site (see the title correction for the hostnames). The former samaafm.com is not a substitute: it is a registrar parking page. |
| title | Samaa FM 107.4 → MERA FM 107.4 | The station now brands itself MERA FM and the identification comes from its own pages, not from a directory or an encyclopedia. The audio elements embedded in the player on https://www.merafm.com/ point at the station's own stream hosts samaakhi107-itelservices.radioca.st and samaaisb107-itelservices.radioca.st, still named samaa plus the city code plus 107, for the Karachi and Islamabad feeds of a station that titles itself 'MERA FM - Hit Music Station 107.4' and offers the same six city feeds (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar, Bhawalpur) on the same frequency. Meanwhile the old samaafm.com domain now serves a NameBright registrar parking page reading 'samaafm.com is coming soon', and the Samaa media group's news site samaa.tv has no radio section, no 107.4 and no radio link anywhere in its navigation. Old brand, same station, same streams. |
What we found and did not publish
Material that would have made this page fuller, and was refused. A page with five named presenters looks better than a page with none even when the five are a website theme's demonstration content, and the difference is invisible to a reader. So it is recorded here instead.
| What we could have said | Why we did not |
|---|---|
| Anything from Samaa TV | The Samaa media group's news site was the obvious place to look and I looked. samaa.tv has no radio section, no mention of 107.4 and no mention of a radio station anywhere in its navigation or page text. Nothing from it is in this entry, and its absence of any radio is itself part of why the trail leads to merafm.com.
source |
| The old domain as a homepage | samaafm.com still resolves and still answers, which makes it look usable. It serves a registrar parking page reading "samaafm.com is coming soon", so it is not the station's site and I have not proposed it.
source |
| The name change date and the ownership | The rebrand date and the owning company are stated on an encyclopedia and on a media-ownership monitor, not by the station, so neither is in this entry. The station's own site never mentions Samaa in its visible text; the only trace is in its stream hostnames.
source |
| The audience and ranking claims | The About page carries follower counts, a "Most Listened Radio channel in the country" claim and a No.1 ranking attributed to a research supplier. That is the station's own marketing about itself and I have not repeated it as fact.
source |
If you think something here is wrong
Tell us which fact and what you found instead. Everything above names its source and its date, so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than argued. Where another site disagrees with us, it is usually because it is repeating a radio directory, and occasionally because we got it wrong. We would like to know which.
Read from the station's own material; this page is generated from the
catalogue as it stands now, so it changes when the research does. Research
current as at 2026.
