Description
Norðlýsið has been the local voice of the Faroese Northern Isles since 1915, first as a Klaksvík newspaper and now as a newsroom that also runs its own radio station over the internet. Music fills most of the clock, with talk dropped in at fixed hours: a long live conversation strand on weekday afternoons, a between-the-generations slot on Mondays, an economics hour late on Monday evening and festival-season shows through the summer. Everything is in Faroese and the subject matter stays close to home, from Klaksvík council and the town hospital to KÍ's football results. Weekends are built from the week's highlights.
