Description
Qmusic is the big Dutch commercial hit station, run by DPG Media and built around current chart pop with a strong nostalgic streak. It is the Dutch operation, entirely separate from the Belgian Qmusic, with its own studios, its own presenters and its own playlist. The sound is bright and unrelenting, international pop and dance sitting happily next to Dutch acts, with a Foute Uur hour of guilty-pleasure hits dropped into most days. Weekday mornings belong to the Hey Mattie! breakfast show, the middle of the day runs on familiar presenter-named programmes, and the Dutch Top 40 rundown anchors Friday afternoon and the weekend. There is a playful, competition-heavy feel throughout, with big on-air games and prize giveaways threaded between the records. All the talk is in Dutch.
