Description
Radio Berane is the town radio of Berane, in the north east of Montenegro, founded by the municipality in 1992 and still run as the local public broadcaster. Its own promise is a plain one: give priority to what matters locally, and report it professionally, responsibly, impartially and in good time. The slogan says the rest, Berane the town I love, and the day is built from council business and the town budget, the hospital, schools and jobs, road and weather notices for the Lim valley, then culture and sport from the district. Since March 2017 the radio has also run a news portal that posts several stories a day, and election coverage is a house speciality with its own archive reaching back to 2018. Named strands on the schedule include Tkanica, Abeceda zdravlja and Zavičajem kroz vjekove, and there are separate Saturday and Sunday programmes.
