Description
Radio Gibraltar Plus is the second of GBC's two radio services, the softer companion to Radio Gibraltar itself, and it goes out on 100.5 FM and 1458 kHz AM on the Rock. Mornings are shared with the main station, so breakfast, Lucinda Snape and the lunchtime news hour Gibraltar Today are the same on both. From two in the afternoon Plus peels away into its own music: soft rock, soul and love songs rather than the current chart. The evenings are what really set it apart, because from seven o'clock on weeknights the station switches into Spanish, which matters in a place where people move between English and Spanish all day long. After that comes Radio Gibraltar PLUS Nights through to breakfast, and the AM signal also carries live coverage from the Gibraltar Parliament when it sits.
