Description Radio Maria RDC is the Congolese arm of the worldwide Catholic Radio Maria family, working out of a national studio on Boulevard Sendwe in the Kalamu commune of Kinshasa and relayed on FM in around twenty cities. The day is shaped by the Church calendar rather than a playlist: a consecration prayer at midnight, morning prayer and lauds, the rosary, Sunday mass, catechesis and the liturgy of the word. Most of it is in French, while the rosary and the Sunday lauds are given in Lingala. Alongside the devotions there is a good deal of practical talk, from a small-business slot to a listeners' problems phone-in and a programme on faith and healing.
