How we checked Radio Pakistan Multan MW
Everything published about this station was read from the station's own website or its own stream, and every fact below names the page it came from and the year it was read. We changed 1 thing about this entry. We also found 1 thing we could have published and decided not to.

Description
This is the medium wave service of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation's Multan station, which the corporation lists separately from its two Multan FM services and streams under the plain name Multan MW. It broadcasts from Broadcasting House on Nusrat Road in Multan Cantt, in the heart of southern Punjab. Medium wave is the reason it matters locally: the signal carries far past the city across farmland where FM does not reach, which is why the PBC has kept AM going alongside its newer networks. Programming pairs the corporation's national Urdu news service with material made in Multan, and the station leans deliberately on the culture of the Saraiki belt around it. Its main studio block was rebuilt with digital equipment and named after the Saraiki poet Khawaja Ghulam Farid, which tells you where the station places itself.

Contact route
Per-station route on the broadcaster's own stations-contacts page: the PBC Multan entry gives a station telephone line, a station email address and its Broadcasting House street address in Multan Cantt; the separate corporate contact page adds telephone, fax and email routes for each HQ directorate including Programme and News.

What we corrected
Each of these changed a field in our own entry. The reasoning is the researcher's own, recorded when the change was made.
| Field | Change | Why |
|---|---|---|
| language code |
ur
what it said before was not recorded; the
reasoning usually states it
|
Urdu is the language of the national PBC news service that every station in the network carries, and the corporation publishes its own output in Urdu and English. Caveat: radio.gov.pk never states this service's own language mix, and Multan sits in the Saraiki belt (the station's rebuilt studio block is named after the Saraiki poet Khawaja Ghulam Farid), so Saraiki is very likely carried too. Urdu is the part that is evidenced. |
What we found and did not publish
Material that would have made this page fuller, and was refused. A page with five named presenters looks better than a page with none even when the five are a website theme's demonstration content, and the difference is invisible to a reader. So it is recorded here instead.
| What we could have said | Why we did not |
|---|---|
| The PBC Multan telephone number, station email and Broadcasting House address, plus eight HQ directorate emails and their direct lines | Never copying actual emails, numbers or street addresses into this file; the emails are additionally Cloudflare-obfuscated in the markup, 22 protected addresses on the stations page and 8 on the contact page.

If you think something here is wrong
Tell us which fact and what you found instead. Everything above names its source and its date, so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than argued. Where another site disagrees with us, it is usually because it is repeating a radio directory, and occasionally because we got it wrong. We would like to know which.
Read from the station's own material; this page is generated from the
catalogue as it stands now, so it changes when the research does. Research
current as at 2026.
