Description
Radio Plus is the Defimedia group's flagship commercial station in Mauritius, on air since 2002 under a private FM licence from the Independent Broadcasting Authority, and it calls itself the island's number one. Its slogan, Ecouté ou pou tendé, is in Mauritian Creole and so is a good deal of what you hear between the French. The day is a genuine full-service one: Morning Magic before dawn, then the long Allô Maurice breakfast programme, the Explik ou Ka listener phone-in through the morning, and Cœur à Cœur before the lunchtime news. Afternoons belong to Bollywood Spice and the Highway Party drive show, evenings to Le Grand Journal and Au Cœur de l'Info, then music until Talk Time takes it to midnight. Alongside the FM signal it runs three webradios, Hits for Western chart music, Fever for local and island sounds, and Indiz for Bollywood and Indian-language music.

The FM station is only the front of it. Radio Plus also runs three separate web stations from the same newsroom: Hits for the charts, Fever for local music, zouk, reggae, dancehall, sega and soukouss, and Indiz for Bollywood, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi.
