How we checked Radio Rock Madagascar
Everything published about this station was read from the station's own website or its own stream, and every fact below names the page it came from and the year it was read. Nothing needed correcting. We also found 1 thing we could have published and decided not to.

Description
A rock and metal station out of Madagascar, run by the ONCE Rock and Metal collective and carried on air in partnership with RDJ 96.6 FM. Its whole reason for existing is the Malagasy heavy scene: it gives airtime to bands from the island that almost nobody else on the dial will touch, and sets them alongside the international names that shaped them. The centrepiece is a listener-voted Top 10 of Malagasy rock and metal tracks, published several times a year and treated on the site as the scene's reference chart. Everything the station publishes carries the same line, that its noise creates emotion, and it leans hard into gig promotion and the local underground rather than a polished playlist. If you want to hear what heavy music from Madagascar actually sounds like, this is the address.

Contact route
The briefing's worry is unfounded: once.mg is the station's own site, not a group site. Its title is "RADIO ROCK MADAGASCAR - ONCE Rock & Metal" and its footer reads "Copyright 2026 RADIO ROCK MADAGASCAR". A CONTACTS block on both of its pages gives a station mailbox on its own domain and a Madagascan mobile, and it links its own Facebook page, onceprod. It also runs a listener route: the site has exactly two pages, the homepage and /top10/, and /top10/ is a monthly "VOTE TON TOP 10" for the "classement de reference des titres Rock & Metal made in Madagascar, etabli par les votes des auditeurs", the chart being settled by listeners' votes. RDJ 96.6FM appears only as "PARTENAIRE HISTORIQUE" and as co-presenter of the chart, so it is a partner broadcaster, not the owner.

What we corrected
Nothing. This station's entry matched what its own site says, which is worth recording: a clean check is a result, not an absence of one.
What we found and did not publish
Material that would have made this page fuller, and was refused. A page with five named presenters looks better than a page with none even when the five are a website theme's demonstration content, and the difference is invisible to a reader. So it is recorded here instead.
| What we could have said | Why we did not |
|---|---|
| The station mailbox on once.mg and the Madagascan mobile | the brief forbids copying mailboxes or numbers into the file. Also withholding a free-webmail gmail address found only inside the WordPress soft-multimedia-player plugin's JSON settings as "ads_report_recipients" || that is plugin configuration residue, not a published contact. Provenance note: the /top10/ vote itself is a PollUnit widget embedded by the station on its own page, so the vote submission leaves the station's domain even though the station publishes it; the WP REST pages endpoint confirms the site has only those two pages.

If you think something here is wrong
Tell us which fact and what you found instead. Everything above names its source and its date, so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than argued. Where another site disagrees with us, it is usually because it is repeating a radio directory, and occasionally because we got it wrong. We would like to know which.
Read from the station's own material; this page is generated from the
catalogue as it stands now, so it changes when the research does. Research
current as at 2026.
