Radio South Sudan is not a single station but a network, and the organisation behind it does not own a transmitter mast of its own. It is a United States non-profit that supplies a 150 watt transmitter, antenna, studio kit and computer, installs it free of charge, and then hands the station to a local church to run. Ten stations have been launched this way since the first low-power signal went on air in Yei in February 2014, among them Hope FM 89.6 in Kajo-Keji, Word of Hope FM 94.5 in Rumbek, Radio Sit Sarah FM 92.6 in Juba, Voice of Reconciliation 98.4 FM in Bor and Radio Gumbiri FM 102.6 in Lainya. The output is made by South Sudanese for South Sudanese: preaching from local churches and pastors, long conversations about conflict resolution, mediation, forgiveness and reconciliation, and practical information about health services and what local government is doing. It is radio pitched at a country still assembling a shared national culture out of more than sixty ethnic groups after half a century of war. One station in the network, Radio Usalama FM 99.7, sits across the border at Adjumani in northern Uganda, reaching South Sudanese living in displacement camps there.

Contact route
A route exists but it is thin and it is entirely US-side. The site is a React single-page app whose served HTML is a 682-byte shell, so nothing is visible without the compiled bundle; the router in /static/js/main.00fba9d6.js declares twelve routes including /contact, and I rendered that route in a real browser to confirm. It reads "For more information about Radio South Sudan, please contact Mike Gwartney" and gives a named person, a mailing address in Double Oak, Texas, a US telephone on a 214 area code, and an email on the station's own domain. There is no form, no in-country studio line, no request or dedication feature, and no station social account anywhere on the site; the only social links are on /partners and belong to Water is Basic and a bishop of the Sudanese Evangelical Presbyterian Church, both named there as partner organisations. The About page describes a network of ten partner FM stations across South Sudan.
