Hamesha (1997)

Raja and Yash are inseparable friends until they both fall in love with the same young woman, Reshma. Their friendship strains under the rivalry, and when tragedy strikes, the story leaps forward into a new lifetime in which the three meet again, carrying the unfinished business of the past. Hamesha ("forever") is a 1997 reincarnation romance directed by Sanjay Gupta, with Saif Ali Khan and Aditya Pancholi as the rivals and Kajol as the woman between them. It was made in the full-blooded, grand style of the period, with star-crossed love and Anu Malik's melodious score, and it remains a curiosity for fans of Kajol's 1990s heyday and of the reincarnation genre.
