From the moment he is born, the hero of Sudigadu is destined for greatness, and in every scene he behaves exactly as a Telugu superstar does on screen: he beats dozens of goons with one punch, delivers thundering dialogue, wins the heroine in a song and swears revenge on a villain with an absurdly long name. Nothing in the film is meant seriously: it parodies famous scenes, songs and gestures from decades of Telugu blockbusters, from Rajamouli hits to the mannerisms of big stars. Sudigadu is a Telugu adaptation of the Tamil spoof Tamizh Padam (2010) and became a hit on its own terms, with Allari Naresh, a specialist in spoof comedy, sending up one hero archetype after another.
