Our story begins in the bathtub of our esteemed founder and Chancellor, Dr. Coral Reefer (yes, that’s her real name – we couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried). One fateful day, while attempting to eat a submarine sandwich underwater (don’t ask), Dr. Reefer had an epiphany: “Why isn’t there a degree for people who want to create things while submerged?” And thus, with pruney fingers and a waterlogged vision, Underwater Basket Weaving University was born. Since that day, we’ve been diving deep into the world of aquatic artistry, offering prestigious degrees to students from all walks of life who dream of weaving baskets in the most impractical environment possible.
