He comes from Benares, works a dull job in Mumbai and is as cautious as they come. The young woman who lives next door is from a small town too, but she is loud, ambitious and determined to make it as a dancer in films. Their first meetings are a run of quarrels and misunderstandings, but as each struggles with loneliness and the indifference of the big city, they start to rely on each other. Actor-writer Saurabh Shukla, best known as Kallu Mama of Satya, directed this gentle comedy and gave Vinay Pathak one of his everyman roles. It is a small, talky film about migrants in Mumbai rather than a big romance, and its charm lies in the sparring between its two leads.
