Jai and Naina meet at a friend's wedding in Delhi. Both are already committed to other people, yet as the celebrations go on they discover a connection neither expected. Around them a cluster of friends and relatives go through their own romances, crises and break-ups, giving the film an ensemble feel. Love Breakups Zindagi was the first production of Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan, and the debut of writer-director Sahil Sangha, Dia Mirza's then partner. Its easy, contemporary take on urban relationships is helped by songs from Salim–Sulaiman, and Shah Rukh Khan makes a brief guest appearance. The colourful wedding setting, with its sangeet, mehendi and family gossip, gives the film much of its charm.
